Great shorts!
These shorts are great for anything! I have worn them mountain biking, kayaking, going out, and just hanging out. They are very comfortable and look good too.

a best design
my husband loves these shorts (and the pant version also!), so much that he's asked for multiple colors of both the shorts and pants. The adjustable waist is a great feature, giving the perfect fit. He likes the longer short; but it is so versatile that it does come in a shorter version. He has the older version that was sized S, M, L as well. The material and style make for a very comfy fit

Stretch Zion Short - great for active guys!

Job well done
Great pair of summer shorts. I used to wear the thick canvas fabric shorts from Carhartt but after trying on the Zion shorts it’s hard to go back. They breathe really well while keeping you cool. The summers here range from 90-100 degrees so these shorts are perfect for my environment.

Fits well even on very long legged husband

Comfortable and fashionable - my favorite shorts!
These are my new favorite shorts. The fabric is comfortably stretchy, but durable. The fit is excellent and now I have 5 or 6 pairs in different colors. They look great with a t-shirt and flip flops, or with a button-up shirt and loafers. Though they have a front pocket with a flap, they do NOT look like cargo shorts -- the pocket is low-profile and doesn't draw attention. It's handy, though.

Used to only boulder in pants
I used to boulder in jeans. Maybe cause I was afraid of my knees, maybe cause that was popular where I started climbing. The stretch zion short is my first pair of climbing shorts and I love them.

High Quality and Fits Great
These shorts are great! They fit well, have great stretch for lots of movement, and look good. Big fan of the quality construction for tough days in the field, and they are really comfortable--perfect to wear around town too.

Best Short on the Planet!
Huge fan of these shorts. I now own 5 pairs and its the only short I wear. The stretch fabric makes this short super comfortable and moves with you for any activity you wish to pursue. Even helps dirt or moisture just roll off the short. Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed. Comes in a 10" and 12" inseam. I like the 12" inseam, hits me right at the knee being taller. A pocket down on the left side of the short allows my wallet to be completely protected from falling out with the zipper pocket. Two zippers on the pocket too! Top of the pocket and on the side of the pocket! It is the best short on the planet!!

The best shorts on the market
I love these shorts. I am not up to 5 pairs of them. I keep trying to find other shorts that handle my active lifestyle. It is hard to find any as nice as these
The fit on them are really good. They have kind of a stretchy fabric, that is great when I am out hiking or climbing rocks. They have a great look and work well on the golf course, a casual ride on the bike, or a bbq. Every time I am at a party, people ask me about them and where I got them.

My Favorite hiking shorts
I have owned Prana stretch Zion shorts since 2014 and with my latest purchase now own 6 pair. The latest Coffee Bean colored shorts with the 10" are my new favorites. All of them dry quickly, are light weight, yet very rugged, long lasting and fit great. They also have plenty of pockets for wallet , cell phone and car keys. Great product!

Great hiking short or around town
I really like the fit of these shorts. The leg opening is not too wide compared to other shorts I've tried and the material seems very durable for the light weight feel. The thigh pocket is nice having two zippers 90 degrees from each other. Works well to hold a smartphone without being a bulky cargo pocket. Highly recommend these shorts.

Best shorts I've ever worn
Comfortable and stretchy for hiking and climbing, and they look good enough when you're done to head straight to a restaurant or bar. Lots of pockets, and made of substantial, tough, abrasion-resistant material.

Flat out best!
I first experienced the Zion Pants on an extended trip to Southeast Asia. The short story is that I concluded, late in the trip that I could conceivably get by on *one* pair of pants! These garments are extremely comfortable traveling and are cut so attractively that a guy will love to wear them...just to look great in your travel pics! They also can easily be worn next day after hand washing. I've since ordered many pair since I suspect my size will no longer be stocked. Last order was 5 pair!

Great shorts. Have been wearing the Stretch Zion Shorts for years. No belt required. Fine tune waist adjustment. Love that they now come in waist sizes (used to be just S,M,L) allowing for a better fit. I wear them for all sorts of activities: cycling, yoga, Pilates, working out and just out and about. Favorite colors are grey and black.

Great Fit
I just received my first pay of stretch Zion shorts and love how they fit and move with my body. I have an athletic build and struggle to find "fitted" clothing that's not too tight or binding. I am sure i will end up owning many more pairs of this short. I am 6'1" and ordered the 10" length and they stopped just above my knee. I don't like shorts hindering my knees so I'm happy I picked this length.

The perfect Shorts! I just got the wrong size
I have sworn by the Stretch Zion forever. somehow this time I messed up and ordered the shorter inseam, and the shorts are too tight/ they ride up too high for my personal taste. I will certainly be buying more in the future though. Just make sure to check the longer inseam.

Perfect in every way
I have 4-5 pairs of these shorts, so that should tell you something. Fabric is light but strong, stretchy of course but not flimsy or flappy. They are just so comfortable, and with pockets in just the right places, they are my go to shorts for pretty much everything from hiking to mountain biking and the pub. Excellent wear too- my oldest pair is probably 10 years old and they still look just as good as new.

All around piece
Great pair of shorts, very diverse. Have worn casual with chacos and then lacing up the vasque hiking boots for an all day hike. Could not tell you how many shirts, pants and shorts I have with the Prana label. In fact, my wife I even had Prana as the official attire for our wedding.

BEST ANSWER: Both are made from the same Stretch Zion fabric. Due to the extra features of the Stretch Zion Shorts like the built-in belt and the cargo pocket, the Brion Short would be lighter.
