Rated 4 out of 5 by from I just wore these for the first time yesterday on a hike, and I am super happy with them. They do fit a little snug in the areas that are reinforced, but that is to be expected since the fabric is so sturdy. I appreciated the reinforcement, and also the pockets! Leggings with (Big!)pockets that actually have's a revolution! I am not a hiking pant kind of gal, and have done so many technical hikes and climbs in thin running longer, I can't wait to wear these year round! My one major complaint is they are short! They wear pretty high on the waist, and on me (30 inch inseam) they were well above my ankles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Pant for Adventurous Women LOVE these pants! I bought them for rock climbing -- and still intend to use them primarily for that purpose -- but I wore these pants when I hiked Mount Fuji and they were perfect. The reinforced material on the knees and butt were clutch when we had to scramble over lava rock on the hike. The quick-access pockets on both legs are excellent for keeping your phone or money handy. They fit well, are flattering and can withstand being worn for 8-plus hours without feeling too tight or uncomfortable. This material breathes well and was easy to clean. I'm 5'6" with muscle-y thighs and a voluptous butt and these pants fit great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive Climbing Legging I ordered these thinking they'd be a good versatile legging for both yoga AND climbing. I use my other compression yoga leggings to climb (indoors). While these are not going to be a comfortable legging for yoga, they WILL be EXCELLENT for climbing (indoors and outdoors). The fabric on the knee is a thicker, more durable fabric than the spandex on the rest of the legging, so it's PERFECT for holding up outdoors while also being as flexible as you are. Though I'm not getting exactly the versatility I expected, I think I'm getting a much higher quality for a climbing legging than I initially thought. I would say these run true to your normal size in other leggings.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Almost there but not quite I was really excited to see women's climbing clothing from Prana, a throwback to their days as a climbing brand. Things I like about these pants: the fabric is soft, the waistband is high enough that I don't get any muffin top, they make my butt look good. Things I don't like: the pockets extend too far down and too far around the back of the leg, this means my phone bangs around on the tendon on the back of my knee, the reinforced patches of fabric don't stretch as much the other fabric and which makes the pants slide down when walking. I will continue to climb in these pants but only when cragging, I was really hoping that they would be my go to pants for long climbs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from love the pants, but the fabric's a wash I bought these leggings last fall, and I've really enjoyed using them so far. I'm on the small end of the extra-small spectrum (5'3", 105 lbs), so they do fit a bit loose on me, but for the climates I tend to use them in the extra space is perfect for a base layer underneath. My issue with them is that after about 5 washes, the non-reinforced fabric is pilling on one leg, and pilling badly. I'm reasonably sure the issue is on my end, but it's still a weird problem, since I've been washing them with my other Prana leggings and my other pants have not been reacting the same way. I'd definitely recommend them, but just be especially careful when washing these ones - they're fragile!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I really like the reinforced fabric fit around the hips and back. I also love the pockets -- they are snug enough that my phone or keys don't bounce around, shift or fall out when I run, which is wonderful. The fit is pretty good, although they do tend to fall down a bit when I run or even while doing yoga or other activities. I'm not sure if that means I have a size too big (they seem to fit well aside from tending to slip down), or if I have a bad body shape for wearing leggings (not enough waist to hip ratio to hold them up perhaps?). Overall I'm very happy with them, and would purchase them again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Dang Impressed Previously had the Ashley legging and was disappointed with the fit, I was in between a small and medium and neither size worked for me. So I was hesitant to pick a size in these leggings, but I loved how certain areas are reinforced and prevent any catching of the fabric on the rock wall. I went with a small (for reference I'm 5'3"/137lbs) and they thankfully aren't too tight! They stretched with my body and I never had to pull them up. Took me a little while to get used to how the seams laid on my legs and the 2 different fabrics, but overall such a great pair for climbing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wanted to like it I really wanted to like these leggings. As a climber, the patches of more durable material are a great idea to fight against tears from the rock. But, these were not flattering to my form. I have a pretty small frame, but a good-sized butt. And while these leggings were able to fit my behind, they completely flattened it. Like a pancake. My partner gave them a big NO. If you're not a climber I don't see the need for these leggings, too much extra material (and the material is a bit rough). If you have a smaller butt, these probably won't give you any issue.

Is there a thin elastic inside the wider waistbands of these leggings like in the Ashley legging?

yes it seems like there is a small one at the top
