Citadel Long Sleeve is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Citadel doesn’t live up to Previous travel shirts I have 8 travel shirts made by Prana, but I would have to say that the citadel is not my favorite. The fabric is softer but kind of plastic like. Bring back the Ascension, this shirt had better colors, no Velcro flaps, didn’t wrinkle and truly was a wonderful travel shirt. While this shirt is ok, it doesn’t compare to the previous. Please bring back the Ascension!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Slightly dressier version of the traditional guide shirt Another example of Prana taking a traditional clothing style and making it look a bit nicer. I can wear this to a social function, but I can also wear it to lead a Kayak EcoTour. I typically have trouble with the length of shirts (body and sleeves)m but the Citadel fit just fine. The shoulders and back had enough room for me to move comfortably when I am leading kayak tours. I am 6'0" and about 180 lbs (with an unusually long upper body), and the Large fit perfectly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good fit with room to move and stretch I wear a 42 suit jacket and a 33 waist with Prana's pants (32 in other brands). I ordered this shirt in a size medium. This shirt fits my shoulders well to fitted. However the shirt has a significant amount of stretch to it that it doesn't feel constrained.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Weird Pocket This is a nice shirt made of the same (or similar) fabric as the Kip Long Sleeve (which I love). The only problem for me is the zipper pocket makes it a weird style. You can't really wear it to dress up so its more of a casual shirt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Citadel Dominates This shirt is rad! Fabric is light and feels awesome. Fit is standard (not slim and not an awning). I live in Seattle so I cannot speak for the SPF protection...yet.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Baggy fit, strange material 6'1" and 200lbs, athletic build and this was way too baggy a fit. The material was thin and running hands over it made me worried I would cause snags/pills.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am buying another one right now. This is the lightest weight poly style travel shirt I have purchased. It is great feeling fabric, and i am buying the other colors right now.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great shirt Sleeves are a bit longer than I'd like but not too bad and I frequently have that problem in shirts. Really like the fabric.

Does this replace the Kip shirt? Also, other stores say it is SPF50 but that's not mentioned on this site?

Asked by: whistlerdan
Yes, the Citadel would be the replacement for the Kip Shirt. Both are a blend of Bluesign certified 52% polyester and 48% nylon. The biggest difference would be the front pockets since the Kip had a large zipper pocket and a smaller button pocket but the Citadel just has 2 small chest velcro pockets. This material also is rated as UPF50.
