Avril Pant is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 305.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Get the caramel These are my new favorite pant. I purchased the caramel color and love how it pops. The draw string in the leg cuff is quite clever and I like the reinforced knees. I usually wear a medium and definitely think I could've ordered a small in these as the drawstring waist gives a lot of room for adjusting. My only reason for 4-stars is that I really wish Prana would recognize that girls like real pockets. The front pockets on these are enough to slide most of your hands in and could definitely be deeper. Great for work, I lift and climb in them with no limitations.Aside from the pocekts I love them and plan to get at least one more pair!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Already ordered another pair - totally love them. These pants are awesome. Definitely a must have item for any boulderer or climber. As others have mentioned, they would be a bit warm in the summer for most climates. This is my first week with them, but I spent a day bouldering in Yosemite, another day multipitching in Yosemite, and then did an 11 mile walk. I got compliments while climbing and at every restaurant we went to. The sizing seems maybe a bit big. I ordered a small, and they fit great. I'm 5'5", 137 lbs with a pretty athletic (read beefcake) body type. I wear a size 6 prAna Halle. FYI: prAna's true fit thing recommended a medium. I'd tried a medium on before and new it was too big.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Swaggy climbing knickers I absolutely love these pants! They are super comfy and flexible, and impressively durable - thus my favorite pair of pants for rock climbing. I will say, they are slightly larger than I expected for my size ...I am usually a size 4 in prana but the waist is a little loose, and I feel the legs may be a little baggier than they're supposed to be. That being said, the drawstring in the waistband helps fix that problem, and the bagginess in the legs at least allows for layering underneath while still allowing flexibility. Seriously considering another pair! Wish there were more earthy tones to pick from (versus the vivid teal and purple).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Where have these been all my life? Finally bit the bullet and bought a pair of the Avril pant that I've been seeing everywhere on instagram. Boy, am I glad I did! These pants are too comfortable. TOO COMFORTABLE. Not to mention the bold, bright colors are so girly and awesome! I have begrudgingly worn them every weekend we go climbing, because I just can't bring myself to settle for any less pant. I am really gonna need to break my piggy bank and buy a few more colors if this becomes a trend. I have some climbing pants from other competitor brands that cost considerably more than these, and I don't see myself turning to those rags anytime soon because the functionality of this pant is just over the top.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favourite pants - ever I LOVE these Avril pants. They are super comfortable (my #1 criteria for clothing!), and the splash of colour is perfect. I wear them instead of jeans. The knee articulation means you can bend and move without worrying about the pants stretching (and then sagging) at the knees, like denim does. I work as a journalist and documentary photographer, so I'm constantly travelling and these pants are perfect - no ironing required (#2 criteria of mine). One comment - of the two pairs (same size) that I purchased, the teal ones are 2 inches longer and I'll have to get them hemmed. The black pair are a perfect length. Weird.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Everything Pant I wear these climbing, hiking, around town. I have three pairs, love, love, love them. They are a total staple for me. Only downside: the butt always wears out first - I've patched one pair, wear shorts under the other two. The knees are doubled up which is great, but I wish the butt was doubled too! I am definitely out climbing in these 2-3 times per week, and ultimately they don't hold up through everything. That being said, they are my go to for outdoor climbing, so they get the most use of any pant I own. Other pants would tear up quicker I am sure. I am 5'8" 140, I wear a size small, medium would probably fit as well, with a little bagginess. I usually wear Prana 4.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THE BEST active pants! I wish Prana would have more colors, as these are my favorite pants! Good for casual at work, or bopping around on the weekends outdoors. First, please note the terra-cotta color is actually a real terra-cotta -- it is not peach like the online photo. Sturdy fabric with a soft low waistband. Fits true to size. Improvements for Prana: the new elastic this season tends to twist when pulling up and down -- annoying but can live with it. Different than previous elastic. Would be nice if pants came in short length -- I tend to cut off the bungee ankles and hem to my inseam. Please make in a medium teal...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best climbing pants ever I love these pants so much, I have three colors already. I wish I could justify more, but that would be excessive. I'm a tall gal (5'9") and the length is perfect for me. I use the drawstring to bunch them up when climbing because I like my ankles clear so I can watch my feet. A lot of my yoga pants snag outside or even at the gym, but this fabric is thick enough to withstand Smith Rock's volcanic sharps. The pockets are adorable and add character to the pants. And I've decided I like a loose pant so that my butt isn't center stage when I'm climbing. These are just the perfect pant. I hope they never go away.

curious if these fit same size wise as the Halle pants?

Asked by: Anonymous
In my experience, these fit larger through the waist and baggier through the thigh than Halle, perhaps because they're not numbered sizes. I wear a 00 in Hallena or 0 in Halle but I was swimming in the XS Avril. Hope that helps!

I am working in Australia and was told I need canvas pants that are NOT low rise or too tight fitting. Are these pants strictly canvas pants or more of a mix between canvas and other fabric(s)?

Asked by: Anonymous
These pants are cotton. I think of canvas as a heavier material.
