Learn how to care for your favorite prAna styles by scrolling below. Pro tip: if you’re ever unsure, a good rule of thumb is to
machine wash cold, tumble dry low, and lay flat to dry.
Yoga & Travel
  • Machine wash in cold water
  • Tumble dry on low setting
  • For stretch clothing, lay flat to dry for
 even better longevity
Yoga Mats
  • Rinse and wipe mat with water or a diluted solution of 10:1 water to white vinegar
  • Lay flat to dry in shade/avoid sun contact.
  • Avoid extended exposure to sunlight as it may cause rubber to oxidize
  • DO NOT machine wash or dry
Down Filling
  • Close all zippers and pockets and brush off loose dirt
  • Machine wash cold on delicate with
down-specific (or mild) detergent
  • Wash separately in front load washer (otherwise garment could be damaged)
  • Tumble dry low with 3 clean tennis balls to return full loft of down (heat can damage garment)
  • Check every 15-20 minutes and break up any remaining clumps of feathers
  • Remove from dryer promptly (may take a few cycles)
  • DO NOT bleach
  • DO NOT iron
  • DO NOT dry clean
  • DO NOT use fabric softener
  • Before storing, ensure that the garment is clean and completely dry
Swimwear
  • Rinse immediately after use
  • Remove any padding before washing
  • Hand-wash in cold water
  • Lay flat to dry
  • DO NOT bleach
  • DO NOT iron
  • DO NOT dry clean
  • Note - colors may naturally fade over time
with exposure to sun, chlorine, lotions, etc.
Wool
  • Hand wash in cold water when possible or machine wash cold on delicate
  • Lay flat to dry
  • Removing pilling as it occurs by using a fabric comb or other tool
Thermal Fleece Midlayer
  • Hand wash in cold water when possible or machine wash cold on delicate
  • Turn inside out and tumble dry on low for 10 minutes, then lay flat to dry
Synthetic Filling
  • Machine wash in cold water
  • Use non-chlorine bleach if needed
  • Line dry
  • Iron on low setting
  • DO NOT dry clean
Fuzz Balls, Be Gone!
Otherwise known as the pilling, it’s common for styles made with recycled wool and other types of yarn to develop those little fuzz balls that stick to the outside of fabric. The good news? You can easily restore these styles by using a fabric comb, a battery-operated pill and fuzz remover, or even an everyday safety razor.
Keep Microfibers at Bay
Each time we machine wash our clothing, they shed microfibers—threads smaller than 5 millimeters in length. While tiny, microfibers from synthetic fabrics like polyester and nylon don’t decompose and therefore are taking a huge toll on our natural ecosystems. But we can slow this at the source by utilizing tools like the fan-favorite Guppyfriend, the Filtrol reusable laundry filter, and washing on a low spin cycle with cold water.
