Not as good as the older Zion pants.
I have been wearing these pants for years but unfortunately the most recent 3 pairs will be my last. It started with the pockets getting smaller and now there is less material in the legs. Also, the materiel on my most recent purchase seems flimsy compared to my older pairs. It's sad because these have always been my favorite pants but I guess they either sold the brand and/or offshored the manufacturing to the lowest bidder. At least lower the price if you feel the need to cut the quality.

Warning: Not the pants people fell in love with!
I own 3 pairs of stretch-zion pants. One of them I just bought. The other two are from several years ago. The new ones are not the way they used to make them. I've worn my two older pairs for hundreds of days in the mountains. Across granite, up 6000m peaks, and not a single tear or hole. They're bombproof and comfortable. Once I scraped my knee so bad that the wound left a visible scar for the last three years, yet the pants were unfazed. The new pants are made with a much thicker, less pliable material and are uncomfortable. Every time I sit the fabric rides into the groin area, forcing you to manually adjust.

These pants have always looked a little bit goofy with their bell bottom taper near the ankle (the photos on this page are deliberately misleading to make them appear more slim), but they used to be worth it. Now I just have a pair of goofy looking uncomfortable pants.

New Zion pants are too baggy
These new zion pants are bit wide on the legs. Don't know why Prada made it this way. I want the hiking pants to be bit slim but never skinny. Being slim helps pants move quicker with your body. These pants are bit big on the legs and frequently they flap back with wind. Unhelpful when you walk or hike faster.
Grudgingly, i bought two convertible pants to try them out and the convertibles were atrociously wider and baggier than the normal stretch zion pants. I had no double thoughts returning them.
Old version zion pants (with alphabet waist sizes S/M/L) had the right width. Hope Prana makes the pants bit slimmer.

5 Stars original design - 2 stars new design
I bought a pair a couple years ago and love them! Go anywhere; do anything; casual; professional; all purpose. But the new design ruined this.

Two pro climbers helped with the new design and I can't wear them to the office any longer; I can't climb in them any longer; I can't wear them around town any longer. The legs/cuffs are cut so long it's like I have curtains around my legs slowing me down and always getting in the way. Bring back the original cut!

Probably the worest pants i own
They run on the small side of any other pants i own but the worst thing is they are extreamly scratchy. Its probable the scotch guard. Only one pocket which i knew but its on the left leg, i am a righty so its hard to get items in and out of the pocket. Would not waste my money again!

Great pants with stitching issues
Only used these pants lightly and in the first 3 weeks the stitching the right pocket started to come apart. These should be tough based on the marketing for outdoor use. Unfortunately, details like this can ruin an experience.

The fit, materials, and function of the pants are very good. It could be that I was just unlucky.

Pretty much the only pants I wear now
The Prana Stretch Zion (and slightly more fitted Brion) pants quickly became my favorite technical pant, and soon thereafter my day-to-day bottoms. I bought my first pair about three years ago and now they're practically all I wear (I'm not sure if I even own any non-Prana pants at this point...). The quality of the material, and Prana's stitching, is exceptional. The fit is slim but not "skinny", cutting down on bulk/bagginess and weight, without feeling tight. A DWR coating means spills and light rain won't leave you with soaked pants, but they will dry quickly if a wet-out does occur. The four-way stretch makes a huge difference compared to a more "static" fabric. They're comfortable to climb in, hike in, and even wear around town. They're also particularly beneficial as a travel pant as they're light and wrinkle-resistant.

Most versatile pant on the planet!
Please consider having the 36" inseam available in more colors! I know it's an extremely small population of people, but maybe it's something you could offer exclusively online so taller individuals can enjoy this flawless product. Thanks for listening Prana!!
