Not the same fit as before!!
I LOVED the old version of the Meme pants. I had every color and traveled all over the world with them and they still look amazing! So I was ridiculously excited when they brought them back!! Then I received them...I have attached a picture of the new pair under the old pair. They don't fit anything like before. They are like a granny version of the original. They have a weirdly wider waist with a much longer rise. It just doesn't make sense!! I just wanted people to know...because if you were in love with the original version, you will be sadly disappointed.

Slim fit, weird pockets
I bought these for a trip to visit friends in San Francisco followed closely by backpacking in Yosemite - I wanted some pants that could handle the backcountry/urban crossover. I haven't gone to the backcountry yet, but I've wore the meme pants to work multiple times and I really like the style and I feel like they'll hold up.

I wish they had a bit more give in the knees and calves, however. I'm a runner and a hiker and I feel a little squeezed in my meme pants. I think next time I'll try out the Halle pants instead, which look similar but with a looser cut (probably still a pretty slim cut on lady with muscular legs).

IGNORE THE SIZE CHART. According to Prana's size charts, I should be a size 6 pants, but to be safe I ordered a 6 and an 8. I had to send them both back for a 10.

Lastly, what is going on with these buttons? The buttonholes are a pain to refasten - I wish they had just used snaps!

Great Zion fabric
I have some old Halle pants and have been really impressed with the fabric. The Halle seems to have gotten a looser more relaxed styling lately, so I wanted to try the Meme. I like my pants slim-fitting and even though I'm needing a 6 with the past year's Trinity cords and Kara jeans suddenly (no weight gain here), I still wear a 4 in the Meme. I'm 5' 7 1/2", 128 lbs., beefy up top. Slim 36 1/2" hips, kinda straight through the waist...I do think these pants would be flattering on most body types, as the stretch is good. I was concerned that the cargo pockets would make my thighs look really big compared to hips but the pockets are nicely sized. Big enough to hold a few things but flat enough not to bulge. Without much of a butt I look for back flap pockets to accentuate what little is there, and I only wish these pants came in some lighter or brighter colors; I don't need "slimming" dark pants. Still, the quartz color with the subtle print is very pretty and will go with lots of things (and I already have olive and teal pants.) Don't plan on wearing heels or wedges with these pants but the length is still enough for a chunky boot, and perfect with flats and sneakers. I can wash these in cold, air dry, ad that will keep the fabric in even better shape.

Great fabric and style, annoying buttons
I wanted a pair of hiking pants that can be dressed up easily as we are planning an 18-month around the world trip and can only take a limited number of clothes with us. These pants have made the cut. The fabric is great. It's stretchy enough that I can both bike to work and go rock-climbing in them. And it dries pretty quickly. It's exactly what I was looking for.

But I took off a star for two reasons,

1) I find the buttons on the cargo pockets incredibly difficult to do up. What's the point of having pockets if you're not going to put anything valuable in there? I like to have my phone in there when I'm out and about and I definitely want the pocket closed. But I find myself struggling with the buttons every time. I understand that they didn't want the buttons to show on the flap, but there are other less fiddly ways to achieve that. I wish they had used snap buttons or a discreet, invisible zipper instead (like the one on the leg pocket of the Prana Monarch Convertibles).

2) I have other Prana bottoms (Bliss series and Monarch) that fit me perfectly. But the waist on these was too big. The size that fit my legs and butt had an extra 1-2 inches in the waist. Going down a size fit my waist, but was too tight in the legs and derriere. I ended up going for the size that fit my legs and having them altered. This is the first time I've had to alter anything I have bought from Prana.

Great travel pant
I took these on a two-week trip to England/Scotland, and wore them more than half the time, including hiking Ben Nevis and wandering around the English countryside. I only managed to wash them twice, so I was grateful that they didn't retain any mudstains or other stains while out. They kept me comfortable, dry, and warm even while hiking up Ben Nevis for a full-day excursion. My only issue is that the waist stretched a bit after wearing for a few hours, but I think this issue is easily solved with a belt. I took the other reviewers' advice here and ordered a size down: the Kara fits me perfectly in a 6, but the 4 in the Meme was a fine fit (I'm 5'4", 130 lbs). I am definitely going to buy at least one more pair for my next adventure.

The quintessential stylish hiking pant
I bought these pants for an adventurous trip to Iceland. I had a tall-order while shopping: practical, somewhat weather-proof, durable, comfortable, and stylish.

These pants well-exceeded my expectations, and I'm so glad I bought them! I wore these while hiking up volcanos, while pushing against nasty rainy winds, and I easily wore them with a nice top for a smooth transition into a smart outfit while out in town (Icelanders are very fashionable!!)

Best features: Fast-drying in the rain, very durable yet cozy material, useful pockets

Not-so-greta features: As other reviews have alluded, these pants fit really weird in the butt/hips. I have curves and usually fit a size 8 or 10, but I had to return for a size 6, and there was still a bit of a gap in the waist. So size down or buy two sizes to find the best fit.

Go to pants
I use these for boulder hopping with my dogs and for just kicking it. They are flexible enough to do yoga in, high stepping and really cut the insane NM wind. Comfortable for extended time in a seated position also, without feeling like you are wrapped in plastic. My narrow hips and muscular thighs do well in these except my calves are maxing out the seams. Love the pockets for keys & lipstick.

Love these pants
I got these pants to add some casual yet nice-enough-for-work pants to my wardrobe, after wearing a lot of jeans! These are great - good color selection, and cute look for work, casual, travel. I have the teal ad gray, and brought both to Australia for a month. The Scotchguard is a great bonus. I'm 5'5", about 150 lbs, and the size 12 fits fine. Strangely the gray pair is much looser than the teal, but no matter. Also, they aren't the softest (maybe due to the water repellent finish), and may make a noise when you walk, but it's subtle! Overall, these are great go-to pants for whatever your plan for the day or night.

Best Pants Ever
Hands down the best pants ever. I just came back from a week long trip and wore these everyday (I was inspired by the #7daystretch blog). And, you really can wear these seven days in a row and look great. They are super comfortable and you can dress these pants up and down. Fellow travelers kept asking me where I got them. And, I'm pretty tall at 5'9" and had not trouble with length. Order a size down (aka your normal prAna size) if you want a snug fit. Order your regular size (elsewhere) if you want a little more room for sitting on the plan or if you plan to visit Oktober fest.
