On The Road With Paul

There is something about South Africa that keeps drawing me back. After my first trip there in 2008, I vowed to return and since have 6 times, with a cumulative 14 months in the country. The climbing, the culture, the people, the animals, the food, the surf, I don’t know what it is, but the country keeps pulling me back year after year. Each time I return, I want to find something new and special.
This past summer, I found this incredible new bouldering area deep in the Cederberg Mountains. I felt like a kid in a candy store, feeling dwarfed as I ran through the multitude of house-sized boulders that the area has to offer. Two months was not nearly enough time and now thinking back to my trip there, I yearn to return. I cannot wait for another season in South Africa!
