Incredible movie clips of the Yoga Journal Conference! I especially loved the one about Karma Yoga and being of service. I like what Sean Corne says, “Do you keep your individual light inside or do you offer it to the world?
Awesome, thanks for this post!

October 12th, 2010 at 3:36 pmI had an amazing time at this event. Estes Park YJ is the birthplace of the YogaSlackers. We met DK and Beaver of prAna because we were decked out in PrAna cloths and push starting our stickered out “Duck Car” an 86 Dodge Omni. They asked where we were going and we responded “to find someplace to covert camp” because camping at the YMCA was not allowed. We ended up crashing at their cabin, dining at the Haunted Stanley Hotel and climbing with some of the models…
The next year We got this question “do you have a DVD?” our response “Not Yet!!”. The rest is living history.

October 12th, 2010 at 7:17 pmI’m so happy to see how the Yoga community has become so involved and impassioned about their practice. I do tai chi – which can be used for holistic healing as yoga, but also self-defense. Yet, unlike yoga, the majority of tai chi groups and solo practitioners are still so isolated and don’t have the sharing attitude like the majority of yoga practitioners. I think that is so sad… What friends they could be missing out on making, what fun and joyous experiences they will never have, what sharing between teachers and students will never occur, what skills may never be heightened, what sense of support and community remains lost… So, it is my hope that one day too, events like the Tai Chi Gala – http://www.TaiChiGala.com, and other professionally-run, high-standard conferences for the tai chi world will reach the involvement level that the yoga community has achieved.
Blessings,

Hmm it looks like your website ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I had written and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to the whole thing. Do you have any suggestions for beginner blog writers? I’d definitely appreciate it.
