The annual prAna Holiday Warehouse Sale was a huge success! THANK YOU to all of the prAna faithful who continue to support us and our clothing. This year’s charitable recipient is North County Community Services who also runs the North County Food Bank. 1% of your purchases went to support this local non-profit who continues to support residents of San Diego County year round. North County Community Services is passionately committed to improving the health and well-being of individuals and families by providing programs that educate young children, support working families, feed the hungry and ultimately create opportunities to improve the quality of life for residents in North San Diego County.
Our organization operates eight child development centers across North County serving 710 families with low or no cost preschool services. In addition our organization operates North County’s Food Bank which serves 75 agency partners and their clients, providing food for more than 18,000 individuals each month.
For every one hundred dollars donated to NCCS, we can distribute 450 pounds of food – enough to provide one meal a day for an entire year.
Prana’s gift will allow us to distribute 18,778 pounds of food – enough to provide 15,022 meals or enough to feed 41 people for an entire year!
Thank you so much for your generosity. Demand for our services is up 60 percent year over year, and it is only through the generosity of organizations like Prana that we have been able to meet the increased demand.
